Terms of Service.

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and [Your Company, Inc.] ("Lumen", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Lumen (the "Service"), you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Lumen

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age where you live, whichever is higher) and able to form a binding contract. If you are under the age of majority, use the Service only with a parent or guardian's involvement. You must not be barred from using it under applicable law.

2. Your account

Authentication is handled by our identity provider. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and tell us at tatandat110105@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. What Lumen is

Lumen is an AI assistant that runs in your browser. You send prompts; a third-party language model generates responses, which we stream back and store in your history so you can return to them. The Service evolves and features may change or be removed.

4. AI output — important limitations

  • Responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or outdated. They are model-generated and are not statements of fact by Lumen.
  • Output is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for a qualified professional.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying output before acting on or sharing it.
  • Output is not guaranteed to be unique, original, or free of third-party rights.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Lumen to:

  • break the law, infringe others' rights, or facilitate harm;
  • generate or distribute content that is illegal, that sexually exploits minors, that promotes violence or self-harm, or that harasses or defames others;
  • create malware, weapons, or instructions for serious physical harm;
  • probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent rate limits or security controls;
  • resell or proxy the Service in bulk without our written permission;
  • submit others' personal or confidential data without a lawful basis.

We use automated and manual abuse controls (rate limits, per-account and per-IP limits, and a daily spend safeguard) and may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this section or threaten the Service's stability or cost.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the prompts you submit ("Inputs") and retain whatever rights you have in the responses generated for you ("Outputs"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your Inputs and Outputs solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to comply with law. You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit your Inputs.

7. Data and model training

Your account and conversations are stored and tied to your account, behind authentication. We do not sell your personal data. Prompts and responses are sent to our model provider(s) to generate replies (see Section 8). We do not use the content of your conversations to train or fine-tune AI models unless you explicitly opt in. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.

8. Third-party services

Lumen depends on third parties, including our identity provider, our model gateway and the underlying model provider, hosting, and payment processing. Your use is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable, and we are not responsible for services we do not control. If we later let you connect your own model API key, you are responsible for that provider's terms and charges.

9. Plans, fees, and billing

  • Lumen offers a Free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Current pricing and limits are shown on the Pricing page and may change.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You authorize recurring charges.
  • You may cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep Pro access until then.
  • Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
  • All plans are subject to fair-use message and token limits. Price changes apply from your next billing period after reasonable notice. You are responsible for applicable taxes.

10. Availability

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. This is an early-stage product; we do not guarantee uptime and may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

11. Intellectual property

The Lumen name, brand, UI, and software are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

12. Termination

You may stop using Lumen and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete your data after a reasonable period subject to legal retention obligations.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free or that Output will be accurate.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Lumen AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT OR USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lumen harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your Inputs, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own wrongdoing.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will give reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.
